About MHC

The Medical Humanities Conference started in 2019 and offers sessions which provide humanities-focused perspectives on medicine to undergraduates at IU with the intent of better equipping students to humanely serve patients and avoid burnout. We are planning this year’s talk for March 5th in the Education Building (though the format may change).  The conference provides students with an important opportunity to ask medical professionals questions about medicine and the humanities. In an industry with as many facets as healthcare, it is easy to lose sight of the people receiving its benefits. This conference serves to offer future physicians, policy makers, healthcare consultants and others' perspectives on care that are often overlooked.
